I wrote this song when I felt like there wasn’t much hope for my people. I know it’s easy to fall into the worst of feelings. To feel defeated. To fall into pitiful pitfalls. I truly feel like many other songs, this song was the result of channeling the right energy in connection to a higher purpose and the desires of those who it took for me to get here. My hope is that one day, descendants can sing this song and say that they now “live in a world,” where they are truly free <3.
